“I am a 46 year old male. I’ve been CrossFitting for 4-5 years. My strength and endurance were okay, but my limitations were mobility and form–most of what I attributed to age and a lifetime of bad posture. My lack of mobility in my shoulders and hips prevented me from doing more technical movements. I started doing personal sessions with Jared: One session a week for one hour. Our sessions began with time spent opening my hips and increasing my shoulder range of motion.
Jared has a unique ability and knowledge in knowing what areas to release in order to obtain the desired goals. For instance, from the moment I walked in the door for each session, Jared was able to recognize what was hindering me, whether it be my posture, guarding of my back, and or the gimp in my gait. He uses several types of techniques: MobilityWOD based banded distraction, Roll Model therapy soft tissue release, manual manipulation, and Yoga Tune Up based stretching.
Jared’s background, knowledge, and experience helped me obtain levels of fitness and skilled movements that were previously never obtainable. Each session was a building block and before no time, he had me doing ring muscle ups, hand stand push ups, unbroken toes to bar, as well as correcting years of bad form in my Olympic lifts.
I carry with me everyday the lessons I learned from Jared. His commitment to fitness, form, and healthy living is evident in his passion to make you a better you.”
“When I first started training with Jared, I had been doing CrossFit for a few years and wanted more results. Jared took the time to ascertain my goals.
Together, we formulated a customized plan to reach them. In order to achieve success, realistically, safely and quickly, he personalized a fitness and nutrition regimen over a set period of time. He incorporated my personal life issues, restrictions and mental game. Because he took the time to get to know me, Jared pushed me where I needed it and reigned me in when I pushed myself too hard.
I had one-on-one sessions with Jared where we worked on proper form, high intensity interval training, competition training, Olympic Lifting, Power lifting and mobility.
Jared instructs a Yoga Tune Up class that I found very informative and I’ve implemented his practices into my daily training routine.
With his help, I learned how to eat, train, rest, and mobilize properly. I reached my goals and have continued to set new marks, always reverting back to what I learned during my sessions with Jared.
Jared is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had, not only because of the vast knowledge he possesses, but because of the attention he commits to each one of his clients. I do, and will continue to enlist Jared’s expertise for the health of my mind, body and spirit.”
“When I first started at Crossfit training with Jared, I could not squat or overhead anything , nor do any of the movements required in Crossfit. We started very slow and fast forward: I have won a few comps, out lifted everyone in my class, not too mention kids 20 and 30 years younger then me can’t out lift me !!! I have been given so many tools for my tool box to use for myself in the future. I also learned how to self diagnose and self treat. I was on at least 1200 mg almost daily for knee pain, and now thanks to Jared have been able to get by on just hot baths to ease pain. I could not have accomplished all I have without Jared’s teachings and guidance.”
“I had the pleasure of being coached and trained by Jared. I started competing a couple years ago and he has made such a difference with how I competed at my comps. I did 2 masters competitions and placed 1st in both of them. My mobility isn’t the best so I needed a lot of work to help with being able to squat, pull-ups, muscle-ups and many more movements. I am now able to do all the movements that I greatly struggled with in the beginning of my training. He has definitely made me into a better athlete and a stronger competitor.”
